How To Install iOS7 Without A Registered UDID

Apple released iOS 7 to developers. I’m sure there are a lot of people selling spots on their developers account, registering their UDID’s, but there is no need for that. There is a simple way you can install iOS 7 without being connected to a dev’s account. All you have to do is follow these steps below:

1. Download the right iOS 7 firmware for your iOS Device.
2. Back up your iOS device to iTunes or iCloud.
3. Do a fresh restore of iOS 6 in iTunes. After it’s finished do not restore from back up, set up as a new phone.
4. Now while holding the (option key on mac, shift key on windows) click the check for update button in iTunes. Now point iTunes to the iOS 7 IPSW file you just downloaded, and click update.
5. After it’s finished you should not have to go through the activation screen, you should be brought straight into your lock screen. If you’re taken to the activation screen then you did something wrong and will have to restore back to iOS 6.

*You can restore back to iOS 6 at any time, to do so follow the steps below:

1. Unplug your iOS device if it’s plugged in, and turn it off completely.
2. Hold down the home button and plug it into your computer with the latest version of iTunes installed. Keep holding the home button down until you see the iTunes logo on your iOS devices screen.
3. Now you click the restore button in iTunes, and it will restore the latest public release of iOS on your device.
